The Olive Tree – Holistic Wellness Studio complies with the Privacy Act 2020 in relation to the collection and use of your personal information and will treat all information relating to you and your sessions as confidential, unless expressly agreed otherwise by you. When you request services from us, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, contact phone number, health & wellness conditions and/or concerns and your intention/reason for seeking services offered. This information will be used solely for the purposes of providing our services to you, informing you about other products and services we offer that may interest you, and/or facilitating the running of our business. We will not disclose personal information to any third party without your prior authorisation, except where required or permitted by law. If you do not provide us with certain information on request, we may not be able to provide you with certain services.  You have the right to request access to and/or correction of your personal information at any time by contacting us at hello@theolivetree.co.nz. 

The Olive Tree - Holistic Wellness Studio may request your consent to use your image or photo for marketing and promotional purposes where you have participated in individual or group activities. Any use of your image or other personal information will be subject to you providing your express consent at the particular session, training, event or retreat.

Where you access or receive any of our services online, you acknowledge and understand that the use of technology is not always secure and you accept the risks of data loss, corruption, and/or interception in relation to the use of email, text, phone, Zoom, social media and other communication apps, and other means of technology.

Appointment Terms and Disclaimers: 

By booking a healing appointment, session, package, training, event or retreat, you confirm that you are in good physical health and of sound mind, and do not suffer from any condition that may hinder your participation in any activity at The Olive Tree - Holistic Wellness Studio. These activities include, but are not limited to, Reiki Healings and Readings, classes, trainings, ceremonies, workshops, or various activities (both in-person and online).

By booking, paying for and receiving Reiki and Energy Healing sessions, you understand, acknowledge and agree that:

• Reiki is an energy healing modality that is a safe, gentle and non-invasive technique that is used for stress reduction and relaxation. Reiki can complement any physical or psychological care and/or treatment and/or recovery and/or rehabilitation plan. However, The Olive Tree – Holistic Wellness Studio provides no warranty or guarantee that you will experience or attain any specific results or outcomes from receiving a Reiki or energy healing session. Results vary for each individual.

• Holistic wellness, Reiki and all/other energy healing modalities are currently an unregulated industry in New Zealand and your Reiki practitioner is not “licensed” by any regulatory entity.  However, your Reiki practitioner is qualified and has undergone Reiki Level 1, 2 and 3 training and attunements.

• The sessions and services you receive from a Reiki practitioner are not offered as a substitute for medical care and/or medication(s) and/or treatment(s) and/or professional mental health care, and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any mental health, medical or physical conditions.   Your Reiki practitioner is not acting as a mental health counsellor or a medical professional. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions or prescribe or perform medical treatment or substances, nor interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional.  If you have any physical or psychological ailments, you must consult with a medical healthcare professional.  

• You are fully responsible for your wellbeing during a Reiki and energy healing session, and subsequently, including any choices and/or decisions you make.

• All messages, ‘downloads', comments and ideas offered to you by your Reiki practitioner, before, during or after sessions, are solely for the purpose of aiding your personal healing journey and are provided for the purpose of assisting you to help improve your overall wellness and quality of life.

• Except where required by law, The Olive Tree – Holistic Wellness Studio accepts no liability in relation to any products, services or advice offered and your Reiki practitioner will not under any circumstances be liable to you or any third party for any loss, cost, claim, damage or expense incurred by you or any third party arising out of the acts or omissions of your Reiki practitioner, your expectations or reliance on the outcomes of your session, and/or any advice given by your Reiki practitioner.
